About Creed

Our Mission

Creed's main mission is to build a sustainable collective of security professionals where funds are fairly distributed across contributors.

Creed aims to spark collaboration between community members to build out new security-focused products and services — first to serve its own clients and, once proven, make those tools available to the entire blockchain space.

As a native Web3 organization, Creed wants to help its peers in building a safer space for everyone.

What We Do

Security code reviews are Creed's bread and butter service, providing a stable source of revenue while meeting a critical market need.

We also offer risk assessments that evaluate an organization's security properties regarding infrastructure, governance, and incident handling capabilities.

Creed allocates members to security councils, manages bug bounty programs, and plans to develop a security-focused grants program for security research.

How We Operate

Every process in Creed is driven by sharing the revenue of paid work. This allows us to pay out fair shares in any market conditions.

The revenue share model incentivizes members to acquire reliable, high-value clients while keeping operations cost-efficient. A portion of revenue is locked in the treasury, with participants retaining control over their share.

We build close relationships with clients to understand their needs, develop domain-specific expertise, and share knowledge internally to benefit all engagements.

Paladin

Seasoned security professionals and the driving force behind Creed. They perform security code reviews and other services, collaborate with fellow members, and hold voting rights through their Paladin NFT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security code reviews, risk assessments, and other security services
  • Share knowledge openly with fellow DAO members
  • Rewarded with a share of revenue proportional to work performed
  • Assigned a Paladin NFT authorizing votes on internal matters
  • Hold each other accountable for quality and conduct

Democratic Governance

Creed operates on a democratic voting system where each Paladin NFT represents one vote. This ensures equal representation regardless of seniority or treasury share ownership.

Internal votes determine organizational and structural decisions, requiring a ⅔ majority quorum for important changes.

This approach maintains a high-trust collective where members hold each other accountable for quality and conduct, ensuring Creed remains true to its founding principles.

Becoming a Member

Whether you want to protect your protocol, join our ranks as a Paladin, or level up your security knowledge, choose the path that fits you best.

Creed limits its membership to maintain efficient communication and to keep higher standards on the quality of the work.

Potential Paladins should first post an introduction on the community forum and reach out to a Creed members. If feedback is positive, an existing Paladin will spearhead the application and open a DAO vote for initiation, requiring a majority quorum.
